About Me:

Hi, my name is David Siddle and I am a self-employed carpenter and joiner based in East Wittering, West Sussex.

My love of woodwork started as a child, where I enjoyed whittling and excelled in woodwork classes at school, often gaining awards.

As a teen I got into wood turning and crafted lamps, candle sticks and bowls from dead branches that I found in the woodland. I sold these articles and made some pocket money.

I started my apprenticeship in 2004 by machining at an electric loft ladder company while attending a day release at Chichester College. After a year there I got a job in a joinery workshop owned by a family building company where I quickly took on my own projects. To broaden my experience, I also worked on building sites and learnt the carpentry element.

During my three years at college, I was a winner of the Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship Award in 2006.

I have worked on multiple projects including new builds, renovations and restorations and have had the privilege of liaising with clients, builders, architects, interior designers and fellow skilled tradesmen.

I now have over 20 years’ experience in carpentry and joinery both employed and self-employed. This creative work brings me much fulfilment and satisfaction.
